Our Story

Tony & Lisa DeMiglio have been in the restaurant industry for almost 50 years. Tony’s first restaurant experience was right out of high school working at D’angelos in Cliffside park while Lisa was working at her father's pizzeria - Fort Lee Pizza . After marrying in September 1983 they partnered with Lisa's father and brother to open Alfredo’s Restaurant in Fort Lee NJ the day they got off the plane from their honeymoon. Alfredo's was where their love for the restaurant business really took root and grew.  Both Tony and Lisa's parents are from Calabria, Italy - the tip of the boot.  They had a tremendous impact on the homemade recipes carefully crafted on the menu for Alfredo's and those recipes have long carried over to today.  The things they learned and the people they met during their season of life at Alfredo's still impact the business owners they are today.  In 1998, they decided to step out on their own with an opportunity to be closer to home and serve their local community by taking over Sanducci's.

Fast forward over 25 years - Tony and Lisa are now the proud owners of the Trattoria, the Pizzeria, and their Wood Fired Pizza Truck. With over two decades of incredible experiences such as winning Best of Bergen Readers Choice awards since 2013, serving over 700 pizzas in one day at the Triple Crown at the famous Belmont Raceway, and even getting a segment on national tv (FOX & Friends), the DeMiglio's are grateful to still run a successful local business. As the restaurant industry has changed over the years their dedication remains the same - to serve exceptional  authentic Italian food with excellent service, and an overall experience that will leave their guests returning for years to come.  Serving the North Jersey community for over 25 years through Sanducci's is something they do not take got granted, and are always intentionally giving back whether through trays of food, gift certificates for local fundraisers, or even bringing the pizza truck to a flooded neighborhood to hand out pizzas.

To Tony and Lisa, the restaurant business allows them to have extended family through their incredible team at Sanducci's who have been with them for years, and build great relationships through their customers.  Most days you can find Tony in the kitchen or making pizzas on the Truck and Lisa at the restaurant running the front of house; and while they have no plans to retire anytime soon, they hope to keep what they've built in the family.

Salute!
